Timbuk2 and State Of Flux, the men’s clothing brand and shop on Valencia with a manufacturing/workshop area, collaborated on an exclusive crossbody bag during the COVID-19 pandemic, to remind us of the power of community collaboration.
Dreamt up by Timbuk2’s Head of Global Merchandising, Brandon McCarthy, and State Of Flux’s co-founders Johnny Travis and Herbert Gracia, the two brands seamlessly came together thanks to aligned purposes. With a dedication to the local community, as seen in Timbuk2’s donation of 50,000 face masks and coverings and State Of Flux’s buy one give one initiative with their GOLIV-20 face masks and hosted workshops, the two brands are all about supporting local.
The partnership, featuring Timbuk2’s Mini Hustle Duffel, marks an encouraging moment for these two San Francisco brands, getting back to business and pushing forward. With custom co-branding, spotlighting State Of Flux’s mantra, “Never break. Never settle. Never fold.” the limited-edition bag was designed and sewn in Timbuk2’s Mission District Factory.
